High on Life is a wacky sci-fi comedy adventure game created by Justin Roland, who also is the voice behind many characters in the famous “Rick and Morty” TV series. As you shoot your way through the sci-fi environment of the game, you will be equipped with talking guns with hilariously witty lines. High on Life is currently available on PC and Xbox, and has received a lot of praise and attention. However, on the other hand, it has its fair share of bugs and issues, that many players are frustrated about.
This guide aims to solve one such issue that players are facing while playing High on Life on PC via an Xbox Game Pass. As per many reports, the game seems to be stuck at the “Signing in” screen, thereby restricting players from playing it. If you are also facing the same issue, then consider reading till the end.
High On Life Stuck on Signing In Screen Issue: Is there any fix yet?
Fortunately, we managed to find some workarounds that should be effective against this issue. The following are some fixes that you can use to play the game without getting stuck at the signing screen.
Check the integrity of the game files-
Sometimes some game files become corrupted or missing thereby causing errors.
Xbox App-
To repair High on Life game files, navigate to the “Xbox App” and open it. Now, find the game in the Xbox App. Locate the game on the left side of the screen. Hover your mouse over the game and click on the three vertical dots icon. Go to “Manage” and under the “Files” tab, select “Verify and Repair”. Launch the game to check if the problem persists.
For Steam users-
Additionally, if you got your copy of the game from Steam, then the steps to verify the files are as follows;
- Open the Steam client on your PC.
- Next, head over to the “Library” section.
- Locate High on Life from your game list.
- Select and right-click on it, and from the drop-down menu that shows up select “Properties”.
- Now, in the new properties tab that opens up, select and open “Local files.
- Here, to the right side, you will see an option that reads ” Verify integrity of game files”
- Click on it to verify and repair your files.
Wait patiently for the process to finish. Once done, restart your system and launch the game to see if the problem is still present.
For Epic Games users
To verify and repair files on the Epic Games Client follow the instructions given below;
- Launch the Epic Games launcher on your PC.
- Head over to the “Library” section.
- Locate High on Life and click on the three dots icon next to it.
- Click and open “manage” from the pop-up menu.
- You should see the “Verify” button, click on it to verify.
Wait for the process to get over and restart your system once done. Now, open your game and check if that solved the problem.
Unusual fix
The next fix may appear unusual, but we received reports from players experiencing this issue that it worked for them. As a result, we recommend that you try this fix to see if it solves the problem. To begin, download High on Life on your Xbox or any other system and launch it. As soon as the game reaches the title screen, exit it. Now, return to your PC and launch the game. Hopefully, now you will not be getting stuck on the signing screen anymore.
