Restart game

Well, it doesn’t matter on which platform you play the game, all you should do is simply restart it. There is a possible chance that there are some minor bugs and after restarting, they should possibly go away. Do try this method for yourself.

Restart your console/PC

Sometimes as you know, there are fair enough chances that there is a glitch in either your PC or your console which you use to play. Considering this fact, you should go ahead and restart the system/platform that you use to play the game. Many players were able to solve the issue with this, and you should try it too. Do it and relaunch the game to check the error.

Check your internet connection

There are also chances that your internet quality may be poor, or perhaps during the game, your internet runs slow. This fact can be easily confirmed by going to any third-party speed testing website. There, you can see the upload and download speeds of your connection, and doing this will give you useful insight. If your internet is the issue for this error, then either switch to a wired connection or get a new one.

Disable antivirus

Oftentimes, certain games on your PC may be treated as a threat. This doesn’t mean that your game is corrupted or anything, it could just mean that your Antivirus has tagged the game as malware. Try disabling your Antivirus from your PC by going into your Windows settings and then relaunching the game to see if that works for you. If this method did not work, read ahead for more solutions.

Verify the integrity of game files

Sometimes there is a chance that your game files may be corrupted. You do not have to worry, as you can easily solve this issue. If you are a player who has downloaded the game from Steam, then you should head over to your Steam library. From here, right-click on the game and navigate to “Properties”. After this is done, go to “Local Files” and from here, click on “Verify integrity of game files”. Doing this step will fix all corrupted files related issues. You should now launch your game to see if the error is there or not.

Update your network driver

Many times, there are chances that certain things in our PC system might not be updated. One of these things could be your network driver being outdated. This could be one of the reasons that you are experiencing errors. To solve this issue, go to the Windows settings, and from there, to the Device Manager. After this, expand the network device you are using and right-click on it. You will see the option to update it, so go ahead and click it. Then follow the steps shown and install and download the update. After this, relaunch the game to see if that worked for you.

Update Windows

If the methods have failed you till now, then there are chances that your game is not the issue, but your PC is. The one thing that you can try is updating your Windows to the latest software updates available. You can do this by going into your Windows settings and Update and Security. If you have an update pending, make sure to install it and restart your PC afterward.

Change DNS settings

One more reason that your game is showing errors is because of your DNS not being in harmony with the game. This is why you should consider changing your DNS settings. To change the settings, press the keys Windows + R on your keyboard > Type “ncpa.cpl”> Press enter > Right click on your Network adapter > Properties > Double click on Internet Protocol Version 4. Now, enter the following DNS values. For preferred DNS- 8.8.8.8. and For Alternate DNS- 8.8.4.4. Now, click Ok to confirm. After this, restart your PC and launch the game.

Turn off/Disable Firewall

You should also head over to your Windows settings and then disable your Windows firewall for some time. If doing this makes your game run properly, you will know that it was your firewall that was creating problems.

Run the game as Administrator

The other option to try for you is to run the game in Administrator mode. This way, the game will be able to have certain administrator benefits, which might fix the issue. To do this, simply right-click on High on Life’s shortcut or .exe file. Then, select the option of “Run as administrator”. Do this and launch the game to see if the error persists.

Update game

If the other methods above have failed for you, then you should check for any updates that the game might have. You must make sure that the game runs on its latest version, otherwise, you might face issues.

Reset game

Another method that you can try is resetting the game. This way, any bugs that your game has might be fixed. To do this step, head to Windows settings > Apps > Apps and Features > Search “High on Life” > Click the three dots close to it > Advanced option > Reset option. Doing this should make your error go away.

Reinstall game

If everything has failed for you so far, then the last resort for you is to do a complete reinstall of the game. This is one of the ways that you can use to fix errors and glitches. So, try this.

We hope that now you will be able to play the game without any issues. If you found this guide helpful, make sure to visit Digistatement for more. Peace out!
