With all the competitive and multiplayer games, you can soon start to feel burned out. After all, dealing with a non-cooperative partner or a smurfing opponent can take a toll on your mental peace. At such times, you would wish for a simple game that would deliver the dopamine you crave without any hassle or tradeoffs. Hi-Fi Rush may be what you need to fill the void! If you did not know, this is your casual single-player hack-and-slash game. What makes it unique is the rhythmic element that the game boasts. So you can probably imagine slashing enemies and bosses all while a sick track plays in the background to complement the action. Now that you know about the game, let’s discuss the elephant in the room. You see, a lot of players are complaining about encountering the “There was an error saving on your profile” issue in Hi-Fi Rush. If you are the victim of the same issue, consider reading until the end.
Interestingly enough, players have noted that this error started popping up in the game after the recent release of Update 5. Apparently, this error occurs when attempting to interact with any menu in the game, and it seems to be related to the arcade machine data. Additionally, some players also mentioned that after completing all the SPECTRA Hub doors, they headed straight to the main menu only to find that none of their in-game progress was saved. This is surely devastating, but is there a fix yet for this issue? Let us find out.
Hi-Fi Rush “There was an error saving on your profile” Issue: Is there any fix yet
First of all, there is no official fix for this issue yet. Not at least at the time of writing this article. To make things worse, the developers have not acknowledged it either. Luckily, there are some players suffering from the same issue who have had success with some workarounds. We have listed these potential fixes for you to try. Just be aware that they are just potential fixes and are not guaranteed to work for everyone.
Reinstall
This was suggested by a player who had success in resolving the error by reinstalling the game and then playing through the initial phases by creating a new save. After which, all he had to do was replace the original save file with the new one. So, it becomes necessary to take a backup of your saved files, which you can find by heading to the given path: %USERPROFILE%\Saved Games\TangoGameworks\Hi-Fi RUSH (STEAM)\Saved\SaveGames.
Disable any third-party antivirus software
This was another suggested workaround that seems to work for some. So, all you have to do is check your antivirus software settings and make sure that it is not blocking any processes related to the game. If necessary, add the game or its processes to the antivirus software’s exclusion list to prevent interference. And if you are sure that your antivirus software is causing the saving issue, then consider temporarily disabling or uninstalling the software to see if the problem is resolved.
Well, those are the only workarounds that seem to have some success in resolving this issue. We are hopeful that the developers will eventually acknowledge this issue and address it. Anyway, that is all the information we have on this matter. We hope it was helpful. If you have any questions related to gaming, Digistatement is the first place to visit!
