Gran Turismo 7: How to set Customised Number Plate?

One of the classic racing franchises on PlayStation, Gran Turismo 7 has finally been released that offers a realistic driving experience. The game has everything you’d expect from a fully-fledged AAA racing title like beautiful graphics with realistic reflections, car handling, and in-depth customization. Overview of Gran Turismo 7.

Gran Turismo 7 brings back some of the elements from the fourth game and has quality-of-life improvements like photo mode where you can capture your favorite racing moments and share them with your friends. One of the best parts about Gran Turismo 7 is that it doesn’t neglect the foundation of the first game and further makes player work their way in terms of improving their driving skills and access to better cars.

How to customise number plates in Gran Turismo 7?

Customization in Gran Turismo 7 is very diverse when it comes to performance and other areas including number plates. To customise the number plate of your car in Gran Turismo 7, follow the steps mentioned below.

  • First, go to the home screen of the game and go to GT Auto. Now, select the “customise cars” option and then select “others” and choose “number plate”. This option will let you change the logo on the number plate.
  • To customise the name on the number plate, head back and select the Livery Editor. Now, tap on Create Design and “create from new design” if you’re creating it for the first time, and choose “Decals. You’ll be presented with a lot of options, select “Others” and tap on “Add Layer”.
  • After this, choose the “select camera” option and choose front or back (user preference) and go to “select decals” on the right. Here, you will find a lot of options available for you to choose from. Select the preset of your choosing. Use L2, R2, L to move, and R to scale using your controller. Tap L1 to expand your decal on top of the number plate and once you’re done, select “Finish Editing Layer”.
  • Now, to add a name to your number plate, click on “add layer” and “select decals”. Now, from the list, choose “font” and pin the letters that you wish to add to the license plate by hovering the cursor and pressing the triangle button. Select the character and if you wish to change color, go back and select “decal color” and then color palette and choose your color, then go back and select “edit decal” once again. Scale the character to a size that fits in number plates and select “Finish Editing Layer”.
  • Next, click on “Add layer” once again to add another character and repeat this until you’ve completed adding every character on your license plate. You can do this with special characters like @,$ and others as well.
  • If you like to add logos, you can do it in the Decals menu by selecting the “brand logo” in the present decal option and selecting “Finish Editing Layer”.
  • Now, you need to save your custom-made number plate in the garage menu. Click on the Save button and then enter a name for the number plate and tap on “Done”.

You can switch to your different decal designs by selecting the “open design” button. Play any race in the game and see if the changes have been applied to your number plates or not.
