In God of War Ragnarok, Kratos will start with a significantly small health/HP bar. God of War Ragnarok: How to increase Max HP?
Just like in the previous game, the players need Idunn Apples to increase their maximum health throughout the game’s progress. Idunn Apples are the fruits of Gods that help Kratos to gain maximum strength. Do keep in mind that a single Idunn Apple will not increase your health. These are scattered throughout the whole game and you will need to visit all possible realms and also find hidden places to find these apples. What is also important is that these apples are found in chests known as “Nornir Chests”. They are special chests in the game and each of them is locked with runes. To unlock them, you will either need to ring a set of 3 bells in quick succession with runes written on them, or you need to destroy 3 hidden seals with runes on them.
The task is not as easy as it sounds and it requires a healthy amount of patience. The bells are set in locations where you need to plan the order in which to ring them. The same case is with the seals. They are hidden in places where you have to look extra carefully and strategize how to reach them. Needless to say, after collecting all 15 Idunn Apples, you will have gained the fullest HP for Kratos. However, there is another way to increase your character’s HP in the game, and that is by increasing the Vitality stat. This stat is tied to your weapons, armor, and even enchantments, so leveling up your gear that includes Vitality can also increase Kratos’ health.
