NVIDIA’s move from Turing to Ampere technology has surely proven a promising one for the future of graphics cards. Initially, the Green Amy was treated to three SKUs, but as we speculated there were going to be more. As is the trend with NVIDIA, the enhanced and well-worked Ti and Super editions continue to be offered. The same will be the case with the GeForce RTX 3000 series. A few days ago on Twitter entry level specs were leaked of what seemed like a superior GPU to RTX 3090. Fans poured in their opinions suggesting this was in fact the RTX 3090 Ti. Well, the RTX 3090 Ti still seems a few more confirmations away. However, the entry of RTX 3060 Ti looks more assured. This time too, its GIGABYTE who are making fast developments to quickly gain traction for promotions of their AORUS Master.
GIGABYTE prepares RTX 3060 Ti AORUS Master as NVIDIA RTX 3060 appears in EEC list
GIGABYTE have been behaving like true opportunists since the arrival of NVIDIA’s Ampere GPUs. Once again ready to pounce on, GIGABYTE has four SKUs ready to make their entry all inspired and built on NVIDIA RTX 3060 Ti. The manufacturer will stick to its conventional nomenclature, meaning we will see the EAGLE, GAMING variants as usual. AORUS Master is GIGABYTE’s most superior GPU technology and the RTX 3060 Ti will have an SKU with that badging. The EAGLE RTX 3060 Ti will be available in both OC and non-OC versions. Packing a 8GB non-X memory, the GIGABYTE RTX 3060 Ti AORUS Master would be built on Ampere GA104 platform.
Appearance wise, there isn’t much to differentiate between the GIGABYTE RTX 3070s and RTX 3060s. GIGABYTE’s EEC entry implies that RTX 3060 Ti is more or less a performance wise toned down version of RTX 3070. The younger sibling features a 180W thermal power design compared to RTX 3070’s 220W. With sharing most things inside the flesh and on the outside, RTX 3060 is really a cheaper option to dive into Ampere tech.
