Friday Night Funkin (FNF) : Peppymods allow to play mods without downloading them

Friday Night Funkin’ is a popular rhythm game. The game has created a large impact in the gaming community since its release a few months back. The major credit for the game’s success must be given to its soundtracks and the mods it has experienced. FNF is an open-source game. It allows any experienced coder to make FNF Mods according to its taste.

Being an open-source game, it has proved to be a boon as well as a bane for the officials. Lately, Friday Night Funkin’ has released the Week 7 update on the Newgrounds platform. Just after its release on Newgrounds, the website crashed and went down. It happened due to a large influx of traffic on it. Week 7 was in demand for a very long time and it disappointed its fans just after its release. Many fans were waiting for its release and guess what happened next.

Since Friday Night Funkin’ is an open-source game, some fans scrapped Week 7 on different URLs and published it on itch.io. The process of making an update in the game earlier than the official release so, that they can get more attention and revenue out of it is known as Bootleg. Putting it simply, it is regarding the illegal supply of things.

Bootleg Uploaders are Getting Banned on itch.io

Ninjamuffin_99 observed that many websites are having Week 7 on their platform & getting easy ad revenue. So, itch.io has decided that these kinds of uploaders will receive a ban from them at their website.

They have also asked players that if they see any other uploads like this, then report them so that they can be taken care of.
