We suspect it originated from one of the updates and affects both console and PC versions. It is only a matter of time before Epic Games roll out a hotfix that addresses this error. How to fix Fortnite Checking Epic Services Queue Error?

Restart your console or PC

Most of the issues in the past were temporarily remedied simply by restarting the PC/Console. Chances are third-party apps are somewhat conflicting with the game and keep showing the error message. Closing Fortnite and Epic Games Launcher can fix this for PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. If this didn’t help, you can try out other fixes below.

Verify your internet connection

There is a very slim chance that the reason why the “Checking Epic Services Queue” error is showing up is that the game is unable to send or receive data. Make sure to verify your internet connection and see if it’s working properly. You can also check with your ISP provider. Also, check your modem/router and see if it’s functioning properly or not.

Change Mac Address

If you have Fortnite on Xbox consoles, this fix will help you solve the services queue error. Clearing the Mac address has fixed the error for many. Follow the steps below on how to clear your Mac address.

  • Close Fortnite completely on your Xbox and go to “Settings”.
  • Select the “General” tab and then select “Network Settings” and select “Advanced Settings”.
  • Select “Alternate MAC Address” select the “Clear” button and then select the “Restart” button to restart your console.
  • Launch Fortnite and the error should be fixed.

Check server status

You can check the server status of Epic Games as well as Fortnite to make sure that you are not accessing the game when the servers are down. So, simply head here and verify the server status. If the servers are indeed down, then you must wait for a while and then consider launching the game.
