Football Manager 2025 (FM 25) Release Date for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, & Nintendo Switch

Sega’s Football Manager 2024 saw its full release on November 6, 2023, and ever since then, the game has been constantly ranked on one of the top game lists on Steam. In fact, at the time of publishing this, FM24 achieved a 24-hour peak player count of about 80K+ players, just shy of breaking its all-time peak player count by 5K+ players. Suffice it to say, FM24 is the best Football Manager game of all time. And with such a great release, fans are starting to ask about the next game’s release date, Football Manager 2025.

Out of all the recent Sega initiatives, it seems like Football Manager is the only one that can be considered a great success. Hyenas was canceled, and Total War: Pharaoh was a dud. It’s FM24 that not only outperformed its predecessor but also showed that the Football Manager series can now be considered one of the top series, like Persona and Sonic. And due to all that, it was only evident that fans would want to know when Sports Interactive plans to release the next Football Manager, or Football Manager 25. So, without further ado, continue reading to find out!

Football Manager 2025 (FM 25) Release Date for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, & Nintendo Switch

Currently, Sports Interactive has kept clear of announcing a release date for Football Manager 2025. So far, the only confirmation we’ve got is that the first major reveal of the game will happen sometime in Q2 of 2024 and that their upcoming title will once again see its launch on all major platforms, including the Switch and mobile. However, SI didn’t specify which consoles will be getting FM25, but going by the previous FM titles, we believe it will be coming to both the eighth and ninth generations of consoles.

Since Sports Interactive hasn’t stated a release date for FM25, we are going to be doing some good-old speculation on our part. If you take a look at the past Football Manager titles, it’s pretty easy to know when the next Football Manager is planned for release. All four previous Football Manager games were released in November on different dates. So, going by that metric, we believe Football Manager 25 will see its full release sometime in November 2024.

FM25 – The Next Big Thing

Now, FM25 is going to be a major release and will serve as the next revolution of the series. In a June 28, 2023, blog post titled The Future of Football Manager, Sports Interactive studio director Miles Jacobson focused on FM23 and FM24 and also detailed how they are planning to change things with FM25.

The blog post confirmed that FM25 will be coming to PCs, consoles, and mobile. But that’s nothing to be surprised at. The most surprising thing of all is that Football Manager 25 will shift to a new game engine, Unity. This, of course, has some implications for how the game will run, with Miles stating, “The switch to Unity means there is the possibility of better-quality graphics across all supported devices; however, it should be expected that there will be some changes to the minimum specification requirements, which will be communicated ahead of FM25’s release.”

Women’s Football Introduction

Aside from that, there will also be a major improvement in animations, something that you can already see in FM24. But that’s not all. With the release of FM25, players will finally get to manage Women’s Football. Many had been waiting a long time for this, and at last, FM25 will be the one to introduce Women’s Football management into the series. Jacobson concluded that blog post with the information that they are aiming for the first major reveal of FM25 to be in Q2 of 2024, which more or less confirms that SI has plans for a Q4 release. But 2024 is still a few weeks away, so until we get more details on this upcoming release, enjoy FM24 and wait for more details to become available.

So, that’s all the information we have on Football Manager 2025’s release date. And since it’s still many good months away, why not try to see how you can deal with the save game not loading issue in FM2024 and enjoy it till 25 releases?
