We all know well that T-Mobile is a very well-known wireless network operator and it is an American company. The headquarters of this company are located at Bellevue, Washington at the Seattle metropolitan area and it is also the third-largest wireless carrier in US and has around 100.3 million subscribers as confirmed in the third quarter of 2020. The company offers wireless voice and data services in US and also works as the host network for a large number of mobile virtual network operators.
T-Mobile has been well received by the users till now but it is a truth that every device and service faces certain errors and other issues at a point of time. Now, even T-Mobile is facing some kind of error. The error is known as Error 38. This error has been a major headache for many users. The basic issue that is being faced by users because of this error is that the messaging systems in their phones have been very badly affected. People have been unable to send messages.
Users have come up with various complaints related to this Error 38 issue. The main thing that has been reported by users is that text messages are not sent and an error pops up saying that message sending has failed. On the other hand, it has also created a problem where users have been unable to receive any sort of messages from the recipients. Users have tried a lot of things to solve this problem. They have checked their account balance and other benefits they have received from their operator. Everything looks fine but still they have not been able to understand the cause behind this error. Still if the issue has been bothering you a lot, then you can follow these steps to resolve this problem –
Ensure that the number you have entered is correct which also includes the country code. Check that the number you have dialed is not on the device spam list or block list. If a message pops up saying ‘blocking active error’, it means that the number has been blocked by you in your device. Update the date and time of your device by going to ‘Settings’ and enable the option of Auto-Update. Uninstall the downloaded messaging apps if you have any.
For Android devices :
Ensure that the SMSC Setting is +12063130004. Clear the app cache for Email & Messaging and reset the APNs to default.
For Apple devices :
If the message is blue, check iMessage. If you or your contact had an iPhone and you have recently switched, turn off or unregister iMessage and FaceTime.
Check if picture messaging has been turned in Settings>Messages>Turn on MMS Messaging. Reset Network Settings in Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings. Update the device software to the latest version. Delete the text threads. You can back them up before using apps from App Store.
In terms of Picture Messaging (MMS), test by sending one small picture to a recipient. Remember that MMS is limited to 10 recipients per message. It can take longer to get to your device than a text. Every network restricts the size of MMS. In terms of T-Mobile, the maximum sending size of 1MB, 3MB for receiving and under the resolution of 3072×3072. MMS might get automatically resized when you send it and it might be too large.
