How to fix FIFA 22 career mode not starting in the second season?
It’s unacceptable that EA would allow their games to release in a broken and buggy state, thankfully the passionate community always overcomes the obstacles. After looking into the bug and searching endlessly on the forums and other sources, we have mentioned a few workarounds that should fix the game for you as it did for many players. With that being said, let’s get into how to fix the career mode bug that prevents you from progressing in FIFA 22-
Skip the day in the calendar(Xbox console)
In the official EA forums of FIFA 22, one user managed to come up with a fix that fixed the career mode. The user that goes by the name of FerdaBoys1169 suggested heading to the Calendar of the game and skipping ahead a day past the last day. Doing so will redirect you to the home screen and the game will allow you to hit end season or let you return back to the club. After that, the career mode will load properly. If the fix doesn’t work for you, you can try out others as well below. Keep in mind that this fix works for Xbox One or Series X/S console and might or might not work for other platforms.
Verify game files(PC)
If the in-game career mode has a bug that won’t let you progress, then it might be because of the corrupted files in FIFA 22. If you own the game on Steam and are having the issue, you can verify the game files to fix this issue.
- In the Steam Library, right-click on FIFA 22 on the left side and select “Properties”
- After that, click on the “Local Files Tab” and then “Verify integrity of game files”.
- Once the scanning is complete, reboot your PC and launch the game to see if the career mode bug is fixed.
Clear Cache
If FIFA 22 continues to have career bugs and other hosts of issues and if you’re on consoles like Xbox One or Series X/S, you can try clearing the cache of the FIFA 22 game. It will fix most of the problems and if you’re still experiencing issues, you can wait for an official update from EA that’ll fix the issue for good.
