The Far Cry series is one of the most loved series for hose who love hunting and crafting along with some story-driven fun-filled mission in an open-world setting. The series has pitted us in different regions from tropical islands to Africa, Himalaya to Wild West USA, and even pitted us against aliens and some mysterious creatures like Yeti. The latest game, Far Cry New Dawn, was released back in 2019, which served as a narrative sequel to Far Cry 5. From then, we haven’t got any official information on Far Cry 6, and its difficult to predict when we will get Far Cry 6 release date information and more details. But we have collected some information, that hint about the next game’s location, and release date. So, let’s discuss everything we know about Far Cry 6 Release Date, Map, Location, and more.
Far Cry 6 Setting
Far Cry 1 took place in Micronesia, and then its sequel brought us to Africa. Far Cry 3 was set in some groups of unmarked islands in the Pacific Ocean, while Far Cry 4 took us to the Himalayas. And Far Cry 5 series made us fight against Eden’s Gate, a militaristic doomsday cult in fictitious Hope County, Montana of USA. The spin-off for Far Cry 5, which is Far Cry: New Dawn was also set in Montana.
If we look at the trend of the setting of all titles, no relation exists between them, which makes predicting Far Cry 6 setting even more difficult. Back in 2018, Ubisoft sent out a survey asking fans where they would like to see the future Far Cry game take place. The locations were: Northern Canada, another planet, post-apocalyptic world, India, Cuba, Steppes of Alaska, Russia/Siberia, jungles of South America, jungles of Vietnam, Africa, Australia, New Zealand, North Korea, or “other.” The survey was released after Far Cry 5, and we saw New Dawn from the same settings of Far Cry 5, so we may see Far Cry 6 from one of the mentioned locations.
Far Cry 6 Gameplay
Like its predecessor, Far Cry 6 will follow some pattern of clearing outposts, destroying targets, discover landmarks, and vehicular journey with more elements and tweaks. We may see improved stealth and combat as in Far Cry. The outposts are always filled with hordes of enemies with enforcements on call. Having more stealth options can help in evading direct engagements if we want to complete the mission fast and without alerting anyone.
Far Cry 6 Release Date And More
Now coming to the most crucial part of the article i.e. Far Cry 6, it’s time to cheer as Far Cry 6 is already under development and release soon. Ubisoft hasn’t confirmed anything, but Kotaku’s Jason Schreier, one of the trusted journalists of the industry, has confirmed that the game is launching in 2021.
In February, during an earnings call, Ubisoft revealed that it will launch five AAA titles between April 2020 and March 2021. Three of the five games have been already announced which include Watch Dogs: Legion, Gods & Monsters, and Rainbow Six: Quarantine. Following this announcement, Schreier revealed that the two unannounced games are none other than Assassin’s Creed and Far Cry.
Anyone holding out hope for Splinter Cell is, once again, going to be disappointed. Sorry! (It’s AC and Far Cry.) https://t.co/7hKDV3y5QS

Since the five titles are releasing before April 2021, we can expect Far Cry 6 to be launched in March 2021 with the worldwide reveal at E3 2020.
