Evil Nun The Broken Mask FOV Change feature Is it available

Evil Nun The Broken Mask is the new horror game that has been terrorizing players with its nightmarish setting, clever puzzles, and relentless pursuit of Sister Madeline. As players delve into the eerie confines of Eagle Junior High School, there’s one question on the minds of many players: Can the field of view (FOV) be adjusted to suit individual preferences? FOV customization is a crucial feature for many gamers, enhancing the immersive experience and allowing players to tailor their gameplay. So, in this guide, we will see if players have the flexibility to adjust this setting and make their gameplay even more personalized and enjoyable.

FOV, or Field of View, determines the visible game environment on-screen. Players often seek the ability to adjust FOV for personal comfort, motion sickness prevention, competitive advantages, and customization. In games like Evil Nun: The Broken Mask, where immersion is crucial while navigating a haunted school, the option to customize FOV can enhance the overall gaming experience by catering to individual preferences and playstyles. But is this feature available? And if so, how can you change the FOV in the game? Continue reading to find out more.

Despite player inquiries and discussions on platforms like Steam, the developers have clarified that the FOV (Field of View) in the game is fixed and not adjustable. While some players may have hoped for a customizable FOV feature, the current design maintains a set field of view throughout the gameplay experience. So for the most part, you just might have to adapt to the established FOV settings. But that is not the end; some players reported using a workaround with the UE5 unlocker to change the FOV. We have explained this workaround below.

UE5 Workaround

So while you cannot change the FOV natively through the in-game settings, there is a workaround that many players are resorting to for a customizable FOV. This workaround involves using a tool called the UE5 unlocker. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to implement this workaround:

  • First, download the UE5 Unlocker by clicking on this link.
  • Open the downloaded file (.rar) and run “IGCSclient.exe.” There’s no need to unpack the download; simply click on the IGCSclient executable.
  • Go to the following directory: C/User/your name/Appdata/local/Evil_Nun/Saved/config/windows. Once there, open the “engine.ini” file.
  • In the “engine.ini” file, add the following lines:
    • [/script/engine.inputsettings]
    • ConsoleKey=Tilde
  • Save the edited file.
  • Now, launch the game as you normally would.
  • Open IGCSclient and choose the game’s .exe in the first row. Click the “inject dll” button. You’ll receive a prompt indicating that the camera is unlocked in the game.
  • Press the tilde key (~) in the game and type “FOV” followed by the desired numerical value. For example, “FOV 90” without the quotes.

Finally, before making any edits to the “engine.ini” file, it’s advisable to create a backup copy to avoid any potential issues. Anyway, we hope this guide proves helpful in enhancing your gameplay.
