Be it the brilliant choice of music that plays in the game or the gripping match commentary, the audio plays a key part in providing the players with an immersive experience. However, lucky for you, the audio/sound not working issue is actually quite easy to fix if you follow the right workarounds. EA Sports FC 24 No Audio/Sound Not Working Issue: Is There Any Fix Yet?

Restart the game and restart your PC

Select the right audio device
For the game audio to work, you must enable the correct audio device in the volume mixer. On top of this, you need to ensure that the audio slider is set at a level where the game audio will be audible to you. To ensure this, follow the given steps:
- Locate and right-click on the speaker icon at the bottom-right corner of your screen.
- Click on Sound Settings, and then go to the Output section.
- Under the “Choose your Output device” option, make sure you have selected the right audio device for the audio output.

- If you’re still facing the error, then follow the same steps. Only this time, change the Default format to 24-bit 48000 Hz.
- Select Apply, click on the OK button, and then run the game. Check if the error is still occurring.
Disconnect your controller and other peripherals
Using a wired controller or other USB peripherals can interfere with your microphone or speaker, and this can disrupt the in-game audio too. So, disconnect all the wired devices, including your controller, before you launch the game. Once the game starts, you can plug in your controller again and see if the issue solves itself. Disable Oculus and Voicemeeter
Leaving the Oculus/Voicemeeter enabled can cause the game audio to not function properly. This can be bypassed by disabling these two features from the sound settings menu.
- Type Control Panel in your Windows search box, and open the first option.
- Click on Hardware & Sound, and then open the Sound menu.
- Navigate to the Playback tab. If you find Oculus or Voicemeeter options here, right-click on the device and select Disable.

- Locate the “Sound, video and game controllers” option and click on it.
- Here, apart from the audio device you’re using, right-click on all the other audio devices and select the Disable device option.

Uncheck Handsfree Telephony
This feature can also interfere with the in-game audio output to your headphones, which is why disabling it is the safest option.
On Windows 10:
- Type Control Panel in the Windows search box, and select the first option.
- Click on Hardware & Sound, and then go to the Devices and Printers option.
- Locate your speaker from the list of devices and right-click on it.
- Click on Properties from the drop-down menu and go to the Services tab.
- Here, uncheck the box corresponding to the “Handsfree Telephony” option.
- Click on Apply, and then click OK to save your changes.
- Launch the game and check if the issue persists.
On Windows 11:
- Press the Windows + R keys together to open the Run command box.
- In the text box, type “shell:::{A8A91A66-3A7D-4424-8D24-04E180695C7A}” (without the quotation marks) and press enter.
- This should open the Devices & Printer menu. Then, you can follow the rest of the instructions from the Windows 10 workaround to disable Handsfree Telephony and troubleshoot the issue.
Update your audio driver
The in-game audio might not work if you’re not using the latest audio drivers on your PC. You can follow the below-mentioned steps to update the audio drivers on your system.
- Press the Windows + X keys together to open the Quick Link Menu.
- Open Device Manager and navigate to the “Sound, video and game controllers” option.
- Locate the audio device that you’re using primarily and right-click on it.
- From the context menu, select Update Driver.
- Then, click on the “Search automatically for drivers” option.
- Once the installation is complete, launch the game and see if the issue persists.
Verify game files
Verifying the game files would replace all the missing or corrupt files from your game’s installation directory that might be causing issues with the in-game audio. So, make sure to try this workaround.
On the EA Desktop App
- Open the EA Desktop application and locate EA FC 24 under the Installed Games option.
- Right-click on the game, and then click on Manage.

On Steam
