The early access crowd for EA Sports FC 24 has been quite vocal about the various issues they have encountered in their in-game journey. With only a few days left until the game’s official release, EA needs to up their game and fix major issues. One of those issues is related to the game’s anti-cheat program. So, if you are encountering the Easy Anticheat Error in EA Sports FC 24, here’s everything you need to know.
While anti-cheat is great for curbing hackers and cheats, it also affects the player experience. Because of the easy anti-cheat program, many players have been unable to launch the game as EA Sports FC 24 shows errors and whatnot related to the anti-cheat. So is there a fix? Let’s find out!
EA Sports FC 24 Easy Anticheat Error: Fixes & Workarounds
As of now, EA has yet to fix this issue, and it’s not a surprise. As such, for the time being, try following the workarounds below.
Update Easy Anticheat –
Try updating the anti-cheat and see if it helps in getting rid of the error. To update, first, you need to head to the game’s installation folder. If you’re on Steam, right-click on the game and select Manage > Browse Local Files. As for EA App users, click on Manage > View Properties.
Inside the game’s installation folder, find and open the one named Installer. Next, open the EA AntiCheat folder, right-click on the anti-cheat’s .exe file, and select Run as administrator. A new window will pop up now. Select EA Sports FC 24 from the drop-down menu, and then click on the Update button.
Repair the anti-cheat –
If updating the anti-cheat doesn’t work, then try repairing it. For this, follow the same steps as the workaround before until the new window pops up. This time, instead of clicking on the Update button, select the Repair one. Wait until the process finishes, and then launch the game.
Install certificates –
Now, we would like to preface this workaround by informing you that u/Aerilon95 specifically stated, “..I found the fix to this issue on FIFA 23”. So, we aren’t totally sure if this will work in EA Sports FC 24 or not, but still, you can give this method a try.
First, head to where the game’s installation folder is located. Now, find the file named EAAntiCheat.GameserviceLauncher. Right-click on the file and select Properties. Find and select digital signature and click on details > View Certificate. Now, start installing the certificate and keep clicking on Next. Close the window after everything’s done. But the process isn’t over yet. You will need to do the same thing with EAAntiCheat.GameServiceLauncher.dll. After this, save the changes, and then launch the game.
Run the game as an administrator –
One of the main reasons behind this issue could be that the game doesn’t have admin rights to run properly. To fix this, right-click on the game’s .exe and select Properties > Compatibility. Tick the “Run this game as an administrator” option, and then select OK and Apply.
Enable Secure Boot in BIOS –
Note: Tinkering with BIOS can be messy if you don’t know what you are doing. Follow this workaround at your own risk.
One user suggested enabling secure boot to fix this issue. However, before you open the BIOS menu, there’s something else that you need to do. Type “Services” in the Windows search bar and open it. Right-click on “Windows Event Log” and select Properties. Disable Startup Mode from there and close the window.
Now, time to open BIOS. It’s better to consult your motherboard’s manual for getting access to BIOS. Once you are inside the BIOS menu, enable Secure Boot. Also, enable TPL. Save the settings and boot your PC. After this, launch the game and check whether the anti-cheat error persists.
