Zotac has introduced its brand new gaming console, the Zotac Zone. Zotac, as a company, was mostly renowned for GPUs and mini-computers until this. With Zone, they’re planning to tap into the huge market of handheld gaming consoles. Naturally, players have been at their peak of excitement ever since Zotac revealed Zone at Computex. The date that they’ve given us is September, and we’ll have to wait till that to find out how it actually fairs against its direct competition. Can the Zotac Zone put up a fight against the Steam Deck, Rog Ally, and Legion Go? That’s for the latter but before we start comparing, let’s take a look at some of the key features. Will Zotac Zone come with expandable storage, Windows, Gyro, & Bluetooth? Let’s check it out!
Looking at the success of the Steam Deck, Lenovo Legion Go, or Asus Rog Ally, one might feel that the Zone has a good chance of succeeding as well. And to their credit, Zotac is trying quite hard to make their device appear desirable. However, considering the first look and the specifications that are made public, the Zone isn’t really something too extraordinary. It appears to be a good device that can offer strong performance and a good experience. But to claim anything beyond that at this point would be speculation. So, leaving these factors aside, let’s focus on our current topic. If you’re reading this, then surely you’re excited to find out if Zotac Zone will have expandable storage, Windows, Gyro, and Bluetooth connectivity. Continue reading to find out.
Does Zotac Zone Have Expandable Storage, Windows, Gyro, and Bluetooth?
As of now, from what we have seen, Zotac has put a lot of work into developing their handheld console. The most impressive thing about Zotac Zone is definitely the display. Zotac is offering a 7-inch AMOLED display and they claim that it’ll have a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The display is what sets Zone apart from its competitors. However, instead of focusing on every single detail, let’s dive right into the topic at hand.
Expandable Storage
You’d be delighted to know that the Zotac Zone does indeed offer expandable storage to store your games. To begin with, the Zone offers LPDDR5X memory of 16 GB to back the performance. Along with the RAM, it also offers 512 GB of dedicated storage for the players to store their games. But what if you’re one of the players who try to download every new game that comes out? A 512 GB storage might not be enough for you then. To support players such as yourself, Zotac is offering M2.2 2280 SSDs. With this, you can expand the storage as you see fit and enjoy your favorite titles on the go. And, even if you don’t want to upgrade the built-in SSD, you also get a microSD slot to store games. So, storage will not be a barrier in the Zotac Zone.
Windows
If you’re looking for a console that supports Windows, then the Zotac Zone is truly for you. It comes equipped with Windows 11 for the Home OS. In fact, a review of the Zone claimed that it’s much like the Steam Deck, with the exception of using Windows as the home OS.
Gyro
Well, unfortunately, we still don’t have any information regarding the Gyro feature being included in the Zotac Zone. To predict anything, in this case, would be a little difficult. However, as soon as we have an update on whether the Zotac Zone supports gyro or not, we’ll get back to you!
Bluetooth
Finally, if you’re interested in a console with strong Bluetooth connectivity, the Zone is perfect for you. It comes with Bluetooth 5.2, so you can connect your favorite wireless peripherals and enjoy a smooth gaming experience.
Well, that’s all we have on whether the Zotac Zone comes with expandable storage, Windows, gyro, and Bluetooth connectivity. As we receive more updates on the specifications of the console, we’ll make sure to update this article accordingly.
