Gameloft is back again with another Disney partnership and this time it’s a kart-racer. A second major title to come out from the Gameloft-Disney partnership after Dreamlight Valley, this newest game hopes to achieve the success of its inspiration – Nintendo’s Mario Kart. Gameloft launched Disney Speedstorm on April 18th as an early access title, just like Dreamlight Valley. This early access phase for the game is going to remain at least until the beginning of next year and may even extend depending upon the feedback received from the community. These days the kart-racing genre is crowded more than ever, with almost every company trying to launch their own kart games consisting of their characters. Every one of them wants to emulate the gargantuan popularity of the juggernaut that is Mario Kart and yet none have even come close to making a dent in its influence. How Speedstorm fares in this crowded market will be interesting to see both for the fans and critics. Well, as Disney Speedstorm is released, players are diving in on the adventure with a wide set of characters. But, how many of them are featured in the game? Well, this article sheds light on the same.
Characters are an important part of kart-racers. Mario Kart has characters from every major Nintendo franchise, same goes for Nickelodeon Kart Racers and Crash-Team Racing. So, it would be a stupid idea for Gameloft to ignore such a thing. Although characters are not the most important aspect of kart-racing games, they still contribute to making them popular. Disney Speedstorm All Racers/Characters List
Characters in Disney Speedstorm are called Racers. These Racers are based on either Disney or Pixar IPs. To get a Racer, you need to unlock them with special Racer Shards. That’s not all though. See, your work doesn’t end after you unlock a character. After that, you will have to increase their star level using those special Racer Shards. The star level goes up to five stars. This will increase your Racer stats along with more increased crew member spots and skill power. But that’s a topic for another time. In total, Disney Speedstorm has eighteen (18) Racers from various Disney and Pixar universes. Well, this list is only going to increase with the release of new content for the game. Gameloft has been releasing DLC updates for Dreamlight Valley which brought new characters to the game, and we expect the same for Disney Speedstorm as well.
