Dinkum is an early access game that was released recently on Steam. It is almost a fully featured game despite being in early access at the moment. In this game, you can farm, mine, and do much more. It is set in the wild Australian outback and features multiple native animals for you to interact with. In addition to being an excellent farming game, it also allows you to rear and care for animals. The most basic of these is the chicken, referred to as Chooks by the game. Since you are farming animals, you will also need a way to call them to your location. This can be done with the help of the whistle. In this article, we are going to be taking a look at Dinkum: How to get Whistle.
As mentioned earlier, Dinkum is an excellent farming game. It has mechanics which rival most modern farming games despite being in early access right now. Dinkum allows you to rear and farm animals for their resources. These animals include the likes of the chicken, the cow, and the sheep among others. All these animals are herd animals and will often be bought and farmed in groups of multiple animals. With groups, there comes the additional complication of taking care of the group and getting them to follow your commands.
Dinkum: How to get Whistle?
The whistle is one of the most essential tools when it comes to getting animals to follow you in-game. Just using the whistle through the emote or the tool will get the group of animals to follow you. You can use this to herd animals into enclosures or guide them somewhere without much hindrance. Despite the whistle being such a useful tool in-game, there is a large number of players that don’t know how to get it in the game.
In order to get the Whistle tool, you will need to buy it from Irwin. But, like other valuable NPCs in the game, Irwin will not be a permanent character on your island. This may pose a challenge because you will have to wait for him to come to the island and become a permanent resident before you can buy the Whistle. Once you have bought the Whistle from Irwin, you can equip it as a useable tool and use it to call your animals. This is a faster way than using the emote but it can be more expensive and getting it can be a bit of a bother.
