Dinkum is a survival/role-playing game hybrid that has been making waves on Steam. Currently as an early access game, it defies the traditional understanding of survival/role-playing games entirely. If you like the survival elements of survival games, you can choose to mine or hunt. There are many options for players to choose from in Dinkum. Farming remains one of the most played occupations in this game. As a farmer, you can unlock certain machinery that can make your life as a farmer much easier. Tractors are machines that can help you in the game. Like other resources namely Sprinklers and Water Tankers, they have extensive applications and can be used to make farming much easier. Getting a tractor, however, is not a very easy task. In order to get these, you have to fulfill certain requirements and level up in-game. After this, you can unlock the tractor at a particular level.
Dinkum: How to get Tractor?
Tractors, being vehicles, require a vehicle license. In order to get this, you will need to acquire not one, but two licenses. The first license you need is the Agricultural Vehicle License which can be acquired from Fletch when you reach Farming Level 20. After this, you will need to get the Farming License Level 3 which will be acquired after you reach a certain Farming Level automatically. After these requirements are met, you can proceed with making the tractor.
The tractor is a craftable item in the game. It is crafted by an NPC named Franklyn when he is on the island. It is a good idea to have him as a permanent resident on the island because it will take about a day to craft the tractor. Once you have sold enough Shiny Disks (about 20) to him, you can ask him to craft a Tractor for you. Crafting the tractor will take the following resources-
- 2 Old Contraption
- 1,500,000 Dinks
- 4 Old Wheel
- 25 Old Gear
- 4 Old Spring
- 20 Iron Bar.
Once you have all these resources and the recipe to craft this item with Franklyn, you can do so. The NPC will take about a day to prepare the tractor. Once you have the tractor, you can use it to till the land en masse, plant a lot of seeds, and move around the farm a lot quicker.
