Dinkum: How to get Fiddler Beetle

Collecting and selling bugs is a tried and tested strategy in Dinkum. There are multiple ways to earn money in the game and one of them is by presenting to the museum or other interested individuals the bugs you have caught. In addition to a small number of funds, you can also earn permit points by doing this. Permit points can then be used to acquire a license. These licenses are essential to progressing in Dinkum. You will need to catch a lot of bugs in order to get enough permit points for a license, however.

Dinkum: How to get Fiddler Beetle?

The Fiddler Beetle is a type of Beetle in-game. It is an uncommon beetle that can be sold to John for money. John is a traveling salesperson that you will need to visit if you want to catch this type of beetle. Catching this type of beetle needs a net. This particular net can be purchased for 1100 of the in-game currency, Dinks.

Once you have the net, you will need to wait for the correct season in-game. Despite being wild, the beetle will only appear in certain seasons and in certain biomes. For example, you will not find this beetle in the desert, ever. Additionally, it prefers to be out during the daytime and this is when you will find them the most. The Fiddler beetle can be found in the Autumn and Winter seasons. They are typically found in open bushland and the tropics.

Once you manage to find one of these, you can use the net to capture it. Once captured, you can use them as tradeable and sell them to John or keep them safe. You can also present them to the museum from where you will get some permit points.
