Requirements to unlock multiplayer in Diablo Immortal
Before you start adding your friends to the game, you have to unlock the multiplayer first. Players will start with a tutorial in the area of Wortham and won’t be able to play with anyone until they kill the boss that resides in the Unseen lair and grabs the world map to complete the tutorial. After that, players gain the ability to add other players and friends to their party.
How to add friends to the game?
If you already have friends to play with or want to play with someone you already played during a session with, you can easily do so in the game. To play with your friends, make sure that you and your friends are on the same server and region, or you won’t be able to add each other if their regions are different. Follow the steps mentioned below to add friends to the game.
- To get started, tap on the three lines on the top right side of the screen and tap on the friend’s button,
- You’ll see the friends menu and list of friends. Tap on “Add Friends” and you’ll get a few suggestions of the people who you’ve played, completed a dungeon, or met in Westmarch.
- In the Add Friend menu, tap on the empty field and type your friend’s name that you wish to add like stef125#4287, and tap on “Sent”. Your friend request will be sent to the person that you wish to play with.
- You can keep tabs on your sent request by tapping the “Sent Request” option.
- Once your friend request is accepted, open the Friend menu again and once your friend is visible, close it and tap on the friend’s icon next to the player’s avatar on the top left side of the screen.
- If your friends are online, tap on the + icon and that’s it, your friend will be added to the party
