The game first came out on PS2 and managed to gain insane popularity among gamers. It was the first installment of the DMC franchise. Since then, 4 more DMC games have been launched and the sixth is on the way. Yes, DMC 6 is confirmed according to some recent leaks.
Devil May Cry 6- Release date
Devil May Cry is an action-adventure game that mainly focuses on Dante, a Demon Hunter. Determined to kill the Demon King Mundus, Dante is set on a mission to seek revenge for his mother and the banishment of his father. The game offers highly intense action in 3rd person mode including combos with swords and shooting with dual pistols. With different abilities and encouragement of creative killing mechanics, DMC is no doubt one of the best action-adventure single-player games in the market.
The newest edition of the DMC series, DMC 6 is being developed as we speak. @AestheticGamer1 aka Dusk Golem has recently revealed that the game is currently in development and will require several years to be released suggesting that it is in the early stages. From this, we can say that the release of DMC 6 has a long way to go.
DMC 6- Supporting Platforms
If DMC 6 releases somewhere between 2022-2024, it will surely be on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. However, the chances of DMC 6’s release on PS4 and Xbox One will be going down as we move towards 2022. Although some believe that DMC 6 will be a PS5 exclusive, we can’t say for sure.

For DMC 6, no trailer has been released yet. However, it is confirmed that DMC 5 will be launched on PS5 soon. No Xbox Series X|S update has been made yet but it should be around the corner as well. DMC 5 on PS5 looks extremely good since support for ray tracing and 120hz refresh rate has been included in this version as shown in the trailer.
