Destiny 2 Lightfall Texture Not Loading Issue

If you are someone facing the texture not loading issue in Destiny 2 after adding the Lightfall DLC update, you have come to the right place. Although Destiny 2 has been out for a while, there are some issues that players may face after new updates. Knowing what fixes you can follow for such issues can be very useful. This article is therefore regarding how to fix the Texture Not Loading Issue in Destiny 2 Lightfall.

Run the game using DirectX 11

1) Open the Steam client and go to LIBRARY.
2) Locate the Destiny 2 game and right-click on it.
3) Click on Properties and select GENERAL from the left panel menu.
4) Type -dx11 under the Launch Options.
5) Now you can launch the game. If prompted, select the Play option for Destiny 2.

Change Texture Settings

1) Open the Steam launcher and go to Library.
2) Click on Destiny 2 from the left pane.
3) Click on Play to launch the game.
4) Once inside the game, click on Settings.
5) Go to Display and set Textures to Epic.
6) Set Texture Streaming Poolsize to 7000. If it’s already set to 7000, reduce it to 2000 and then set it back to 7000 to update the changes.

Increase the Virtual Memory

1) Select the Start menu and then click on Control Panel.
2) Click on Performance and Maintenance and then go to System.
3) From the Advanced tab, click on Settings under Performance.
4) On the Advanced tab, click on Change under Virtual memory.
5) Click on the drive that contains the paging file you want to change under Drive [Volume Label].
6) Click on System Managed Size under Paging file size for the selected drive and then click on Set. If this option hasn’t been selected before, restart your PC after flagging it.
7) If the system paging file size is set to System Managed, click on the Custom size under Paging file size option for the selected drive.
8) Type a new paging file size in megabytes in the Initial size (MB) or Maximum size (MB) box. (Max size should be 3x of your RAM, while min size should be 1.5x of your system RAM)
9) Click on Set and then restart your PC to apply the changes. After this, launch the game, and check if the error persists.

Disable Nvidia DLSS Mode

1) Open the in-game settings menu and go to the Display section.
2) Turn off the Nvidia DLSS feature. This should reduce any graphical glitches or visibility issues. If the DLSS mode is not visible in the settings menu, you can modify the game’s .ini file to disable it.

Change the Field of View

1) Go to the Field of View option in the Destiny 2 game settings menu.
2) Drag the slider towards the left, and reduce the in-game FOV.
3) Change other settings to low or medium which may reduce graphical glitches or texture loading issues.

Verify Integrity of Game Files

In order to do a file integrity check in Steam, follow the steps below:

1) Run Steam client and Click on LIBRARY.
2) Next, right-click on Destiny 2 and select Properties.
3) Then, click on the LOCAL FILES tab.
4) Now, click on VERIFY INTEGRITY OF GAME FILES and wait for Steam to complete the process.
