Destiny 2 is a free-to-play online multiplayer shooting video game. It is the sequel to Destiny and its expansions. The game is set in a mythical solar system and has features PvE, PvP, and Free Roam modes. It has four post-release contents out of which Forsaken and Shadowkeep are the large expansion.
Last week, an update arrived on Destiny 2 across all platforms. The update, which carried patch version 2.8.1 brought several improvements in the game along with several bug-fixes. 2.8.1 patch targeted issues which were reported by the community like the issues in which Ward of Dawn was not generating Orbs of Light, Ward of Dawn could not be activated while holding a Sword. Also, the issue where casting Nova Bomb did not consume the player’s melee ability (Attunement of Hunger) was fixed.
Well, today, Bungie has announced a new update for Destiny 2, which is going to bring a new hotfix, version 2.8.1.1 across PC, Xbox, and PS4 platforms.
The hotfix will arrive after the server maintenance. Bungie has also posted an official schedule for Destiny 2 update 2.8.1.1.
According to the official tweet by Bungie Help, the server will undergo maintenance from 9:00 AM PDT on April 29. The new hotfix 2.8.1.1 will start rolling out across all platforms and regions at 10 AM PDT.

– 9 AM PDT/ 4 PM UTC – Server will undergo maintenance
– 10 AM PDT/ 5 PM UTC – New hotfix will start rolling out
– 11 AM PDT/ 6 PM UTC – Server Maintenance will conclude
