According to Bungie, you might encounter Error Code Cockatiel due to network issues. It often triggers when the host(your system) is unable to connect with the game’s servers. There are a few methods by which you will be able to fix this issue, and we have shared them below.

1) Restart the game-

You might encounter this issue if Destiny 2 was unable to launch properly. So, a simple restart will get rid of this issue. Once you exit, launch the game again to check if the issue persists.

2) Reboot your system-

Next, we also recommend rebooting your system. A bad system boot can also prevent your PC/console from connecting with the game’s servers.

3) Check your internet connection-

As we mentioned before, you will need a stable internet connection in order to play Destiny 2. A fluctuating network can cause interruptions and disconnect you from the game’s servers. We also recommend using a wired (ethernet) connection over a wireless connection for playing the game.

4) Power cycle your networking devices-

The next important step is to power cycle your modem and router. This is a necessary step and you should perform this every once in a while. To do this, you will first need to disconnect all the devices from the network. Now, turn off your modem and router and wait for at least 30 seconds. Restart the devices and connect your PC/console to the internet.

5) Check for server downtimes-

You might also encounter Error Code Cockatiel if the game is experiencing a server downtime. You can check Bungie’s website or their official Twitter page for more information regarding this matter. If the servers are down, the only thing you can do is wait for them to come back online.

So, these were some methods to fix the Error Code Cockatiel issue in Destiny 2. You can also try reinstalling the game if the issue persists. Well, this brings us to the end of this guide. We hope that you found it helpful. Stay tuned to Digi Statement, and happy gaming.
