Realm Archive’s Death Must Die happens to be the latest addition to the bullet-heaven genre, and we are sure it’s not the last. Officially released on November 14, 2023, as a Steam early access title, so far it seems to be getting good enough reviews. Although there are some criticisms about the lack of map and enemy variety, it’s an early-access game, so things like that are quite common. And, like all other early access titles, players expect progress and that’s something one can determine by looking at a game’s roadmap. Death Must Die has one too.
Whether a game is in early access or not, publishing a roadmap helps a lot. By putting out a roadmap, a developer is ensuring the game’s player base remains interested in their game. Plus, it can also help attract new players. And Death Must Die needs the latter a lot. So, without much further ado, let’s go ahead and see what Realm Archive has planned for 2024.
Death Must Die Roadmap for 2024 & more details
Death Must Die’s roadmap for 2024 was released just recently, on November 30, 2023. The first thing that we will be getting soon is a Holiday Surprise on December 20, 2023. While there wasn’t any specific mention of which holiday, we are pretty sure that it’s going to be Christmas-related. And that’s all we will be getting in December 2023.
Q1 2024 will see the release of a major update in the form of Act II. This update will bring with it a new location or map called The Endless Desert. The game will also see the debut of a new God and Character. We don’t have any information on the former, but the latter is a Ranger. Furthermore, players will also get to see Tier II items, item abilities, and more unique items. Act II will also come with new enemies with new abilities, along with more map objects. And the Orc Handyman saga will keep on continuing with Act II.
Realm Archive has also given out a list of features that “may be moved to the Act II Update”. The following are just TBA for now, but here’s a list of these features:
- Duo God Blessings
- Localizations
- Quality of Life Improvements
- Item Loadouts
- Shop Reroll
- Character Talent Trees
- More Characters
- New Blessing for Existing Gods
- Set Items
- Act III
As you might have already guessed by now, the current Roadmap is only for Q1 of 2024. We believe that the developers will release another roadmap sometime by either the end or in the middle of Q1 2024, with more details on what’s to come. But for now, that’s all. If you’d like, you can check the roadmap for yourself here.
