Dead or Alive 7 Release Date for Windows, PS5, PS4, Xbox One & Xbox Series X

Dead or Alive is a franchise of 3D fighting games that first debuted in 1996, and has seen six mainline instalments, garnering global favour for the well-polished gameplay and new features and content added in with every iteration. Team Ninja, the famous Japanese developers are behind the game and Sega Entertainment supports them with the game. In this article, we will be taking a look at the information revealed at E3 2021 regarding Dead or Alive 7, its characters, and when it could be coming out. Right, let’s get straight into it.

Team Ninja has confirmed that the seventh installation in the Dead or Alive franchise will be coming out on May 6th, 2024 for Microsoft Windows, Playstation 5, Xbox Series X. Not seeing the previous-gen consoles here should not come as too much of a surprise, since by 2024, it can be assumed that most games will not be coming out for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One anymore.

Dead or Alive 7 is going to reboot the franchise and focus on a retelling of the first three games in the franchise, and we do not know if it is going to be a soft or hard reboot, meaning we have no idea if Team Ninja want to change the storyline of the series completely or if they will stick to the old one and just focus on adapting it for the latest hardware.

Fans are eagerly waiting for some sort of footage or proof of concept videos from Team Ninja, and we can expect something of the sort by the end of this year at the least. We hope you are as excited as we for what could be a stunning take on an already brilliant fighting game series, Dead or Alive.

Make sure to check out our articles on SnowRunner 2,  the potential Shang-Chi game, and the leaked info about Demon Slayer Hinokami Chronicles. Cheers!
