DayZ not showing servers on PC: Fixes & Workarounds

DayZ is an action survival game published by Bohemia Interactive. It is a multiplayer game that was born from an ARMA II mod of the same name. After a long early access period of 5 years, the game officially came out in 2018. The game is loved by players worldwide, but that doesn’t mean it comes without any issues. One such issue is the blank server screen issue on the PC. Well, let’s explore some ways to deal with this issue.

DayZ not showing servers on PC: Fixes & Workarounds

Players in DayZ have been reporting the disappearance of servers lately. A blank server select screen is what PC players see when they try to go online. Well, without any official fix for this issue, in the meantime, we have some workarounds that you can try for yourself.

Restart your game

This method can solve most problems in games and therefore it is first on our list.  Simply quit out of your game and restart it, and try and go online in DayZ. If the issue still exists, continue to the next method.

Restart your router

Another reason that you aren’t getting any servers in the game could be because of your internet. Restart your router to fix this issue.

  • Switch off your router and unplug it from all connections,
  • Wait a few seconds and switch it on again.
  • Launch the game.

Continue reading if the issue still persists.

Clear server filters

One reason for the disappearance of your servers could be the server filters you’re using. Here’s how to get rid of them:

  • Navigate to the server select list.
  • Click on clear filters.
  • Click on apply filters.
  • Your servers should now show up. This should resolve your issue.

Verify your game files

It could be that your game has corrupted files or it just might be missing some files. Let’s look at some ways to fix this:

  • Go to your Steam library.
  • Find DayZ and right-click on it.
  • Go to Properties and find “Local Game Files”
  • Click on Verify Game Files.
  • Wait for the process to finish
  • Launch DayZ and check if the error persists.

Conclusion

If none of the previous approaches worked, your only option is to wait for the problem to be resolved by the development team. The DayZ development team is known for responding promptly to issues that have a detrimental influence on the player experience. As a result, the wait can be less than expected.
