COD Modern Warfare 3 (MW3) Kill Operator With Lethal Equipment Bug Is there any fix yet

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (MW3), the original title that came out in 2011, is widely regarded as one of the best Call of Duty games. Overall, the Modern Warfare series has been a staple for fans of COD games. But apparently, this 2023 version, COD MW3, is not holding up to the mark, with negative reviews all over the internet. That being said, we are here to talk about a bug that has been troubling some players. Well, players are currently struggling with a bug that is hindering the completion of the “Get a Kill With Lethal Equipment” challenge in the game. So, how do you complete this when it is bugged? Well, keep reading to know.

As with a few errors in these sequel titles, this bug too isn’t a newcomer to the series; it seems to have made a cameo appearance back in MW2. Surprisingly, the solution echoes the past game, suggesting a persistent glitch that spans across iterations. Now the question arises: Is there any fix this time? Continue reading to find out.

COD Modern Warfare 3 (MW3) Kill Operator With Lethal Equipment Bug: Is there any fix yet

COD Modern Warfare 3 (MW3) Kill Operator With Lethal Equipment Bug Is there any fix yet

As of now, there is no official fix for this persistent challenge bug. However, the Call of Duty community is actively engaged in discussions regarding this issue, sharing potential workarounds to address the problem. As always, we have listed some of the most popular workarounds for you to try. The only disclaimer is that since they are not official fixes, we cannot expect them to work at all times.

Reboot

One workaround to tackle the Kill Operator With Lethal Equipment bug in COD Modern Warfare 3 is to restart the game and your system. Sometimes, a simple reboot can help refresh the game state, potentially resolving the challenge issue.

Try all the weapons

Another potential workaround for the Kill Operator With Lethal Equipment bug is to attempt kills using every available Lethal Equipment type. Since the bug might only recognize a specific kind, experimenting with each type could increase the chances of successfully completing the challenge. This includes all the sidearms, rifles, and yes, grenades as well!

Unlock All Lethal Weapons

In conjunction with the aforementioned workaround, to try and use all the lethal weapons, you will first need to start by unlocking all available Lethal Equipment. Since the bug seems to favor a specific type, having access to all options allows for a systematic approach, increasing the likelihood of finding the one that registers correctly for the challenge.

Wait for an Official Fix

Another potential strategy is to exercise patience and await an official fix. Given that numerous players are encountering this issue, there is a possibility that the developers may release a patch or update to rectify the problem. However, it’s important to note that there is no official confirmation regarding when or if such a fix will be implemented. Therefore, take this information with a grain of salt.

And that is all the information we have on this bugged challenge in COD MW3. We hope this guide was helpful. Now, before you leave, don’t forget to bookmark DigiStatement for more guides and tutorials on all the latest games. Read more: How does Soap Die in COD Modern Warfare 3 (MW3)?
