Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is a first-person shooter game that features a massive online multiplayer environment. Likewise, the online nature of the game’s multiplayer allows you to communicate and keep in touch with friends. Many of the online features in the game also give you notifications. You may want to turn off these notifications mainly due to the annoyance or distraction they may become. Likewise, receiving a pop notification while doing something important in the game is quite a distraction. This kind of distraction is very annoying, especially when you receive constant pop up notifications in the game.

COD Modern Warfare 2 (II): How to Turn Off Pop Up Notifications –

Here are the required steps –

  1. First and foremost, launch the game and go to the main menu. Likewise, you have to bring up the Quick Menu Options.
  2. Next up, you have to go to the Notifications tab in the Quick Menu Options. After going to the Notifications tab, you have to select the Notification Filter option and set it to Friends only.
  3. Alternatively, you can also set this filter to All, Invitations, or Reports. It allows you to turn off notifications for friend invites, messages, party invites, etc.
  4. Then, you have to go to the Notification Settings in the Notification tab. Here, you have to go under the All Notifications section and set the Snooze Notification to Off.
  5. Now, you have to go under the Notification Alerts section and set all the options including Player, Party, Channels, Messaging, Gear, Challenges, Store, Warnings, Shader Compilation, Negative Behavior, and Looking for Party to Off. Turning all these options off means that you no longer receive alerts or pop-up notifications from them.
