COD Modern Warfare 2 (II): How to reduce Lag & Turn Off On Demand Texture Streaming –Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2

Here are the required steps –

  1. Firstly, you have to go to the quick menu in the game. Likewise, you can do this by simply launching the game and pressing the Options button on the game’s home screen. Alternatively, you can also simply pause the game during a match in order to go to the quick menu. This is where you can find a number of options.
  2. Next up, you have to go to the Graphics option in the game’s quick menu. After going to the Graphics options, you have to go under the Details & Textures sections and select the On-Demand Texture Streaming option. You have to turn off this opinion. Likewise, this is a graphical option that downloads high-resolution textures in the background while you are playing. Consequently, this can result in lags in your game especially when you have bad wifi or a poor internet connection.
  3. Also, instead of turning Off the On-Demand Texture Streaming option, you can also go under this option and set the Allotted Texture Cache Size to Small. Likewise, you can turn on the Enable Download Limit option and also set the Daily Download Limit to 1 GB which is the lowest possible.
  4. Although you may get worse visuals than previously, this can drastically reduce the lag in the game.
  5. Finally, you can now reduce lag and display your skills at your max potential.

This was an article regarding the steps on how you can improve the performance of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 by turning off On-Demand Texture Streaming. There are also many other interesting guides as well as information on the game you can check out by following Digistatement.
