The in-game party mechanic in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is very important for multiplayer matches. Likewise, you can join a party or invite your friends to a party to play together in multiplayer modes. In case you are in the in-game party that you don’t like or had enough playing, you may also be looking to leave the party. The in-game Party simply refers to a social element of the game where you can group up in one lobby. Likewise, it is very useful in helping you be able to match up with your in-game friends. Each party that you join in the game also has a party leader that can start the queue for a multiplayer match.

COD Modern Warfare 2 (II): How to leave in-game Party

Here are the required steps –

  1. First and foremost, it is important to note that you can leave the party in the game by going to the Social Hub screen. Likewise, you simply have to go to the game’s Home screen.
  2. Next up, you have to press the R3 or the right thumb stick button on your controller to go to the Social Hub screen.
  3. After going to the Social Hub screen, you have to go to your party. Here, you have to go to the option at the bottom of the screen that says “Leave Party”. You can select this option to leave the party. However, selecting the option brings up a prompt. Likewise, you have to hit Yes on this prompt to confirm that you are leaving the party.
  4. Alternatively, you can also simply hit back and keep backing out of all the screens in order to eventually leave the party. This will again bring up a prompt. Simply select Yes, and you will no longer be a part of that party.
