Many players report facing an issue with the voice chat in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2. Likewise, this can be a very annoying issue in the game. Restart your console properly –
The first fix you can use is to completely turn off your PlayStation 5. After doing so, you have to unplug the power adapter from the wall outlet for about 1 to 2 minutes. This is important to make sure that there is no power going through the console. You have to then turn on the console again.
Select the correct input and output Audio devices in the settings –
A fix you can follow is to make sure you set the input as well as output audio devices properly. In order to do this, you have to go to the PlayStation 5’s main menu and go to Sound to find the Output Device option in the settings. You have to then select Headset as your output device if you are using a headset. Similarly, you have to go to Mic from the menu and then go to the Mic option to select your headset as an input device. It is also a good idea to adjust your microphone level.
Reset the audio settings –
For this, go to the game’s Settings. Then, you have to go to the Audio tab. After doing so, you have to press and hold the square button on your controller and this will reset the audio settings.
Adjust the open mic recording threshold –
You can also fix the sound issues in the game by adjusting the open mic recording threshold. In order to do this, you have to go to Settings and go to the Audio tab. Then, you have to go to the Voice Chat section. You can now go to the Open Mic Recording Threshold option and adjust the level to around the range of 10 – 30. This can resolve the voice chat issue in the game.
