This error comes with a message, “The Activision Account could not be linked because it is already linked to another account of the same type”. If you make an Activision account, it offers you some exclusive rewards in its games, and regularly updates you about new intel that can enhance your gameplay. Not only this but the Activision account also open the doors for cross-platform progression. It means that a lot of folks who own multiple platforms to play games(that support cross-progression) can link their account to Activision to carry on their progression at another platform. 1) Try to link through Activision Website

Go to the official website of Activision, sign up/log in to your account, and then go to Profile from the top-right corner. In the Account Linking section, click on the “Link Account” option of the platform(Battle.net/Steam, Xbox, PS) to which you want to link the Activision Account. The process of linking will consist of a few steps to verify your email id. Complete the formal process and your account would be linked.

2) Unlink and Link again

If you are still facing the same issue, then you must go to the same webpage to unlink the account and then link again. Re-linking the Activision account can resolve this error.

3) Create a new Activision Account

There is a possibility that some unknown problem has occurred with your Activision account. In that case, creating a new Activision account can be the best solution to resolve this error. Log out of your current Activision account and sign up again with a new email address.
