Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War is finally available, but its launch is not very optimal at the moment. Players complain about having controller disconnections in the middle of the campaign and online servers generate a lot of disconnections.
As of 6 am, Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War is finally launched worldwide! Online servers, zombie mode and campaign mode are already available for all players, however the first game experience is not what players expected.
Tonight, a lot of players reported server problems, causing disconnections in the middle of multiplayer, but Treyarch has not yet communicated on the subject for a potential recovery of the servers. So it is normal that you have disconnections even now, Treyarch is no doubt investigating the matter.
The same goes for controller disconnections in the third campaign mission – some controller players have their controllers completely disconnected and many can no longer continue the adventure in the Cold War. Apparently, this is a recurring concern, as gamers report on Reddit and other forums that they very often have controller disconnects across different game modes.
There is the same experience for PC gamers playing with the controller – yes, it does! All the controllers are completely disconnected and completely random. This is not a problem with your console or computer, but a generalized bug that Treyarch and Activision will have to fix.
Currently neither Activision nor Treyarch have communicated on the subject, but we can expect a recovery of the servers, or even a post-launch patch.
