Colossal Order’s Cities: Skylines 2 is currently on the receiving end of a lot of negative reviews from both fans and critics. Despite knowing the game had severe technical issues, Paradox and Colossal decided to release CS2 instead of delaying the title. While the technical issues aren’t ending anytime soon, the game is great from a pure gameplay perspective. Colossal improved a lot upon the first title’s features, and we are confident that the developers will continue improving upon the game. Now, despite the glaring issues, fans and curious players are flocking in to try out the game. Knowing just how deep the learning curve for Cities: Skyline II can be, we have decided to put out some guides that will specifically help you learn everything there’s to know about CS2. This one in particular will help you learn how to enable and disable Autosave in the game.
At times, players just get so engrossed in a game that they forget when to make a save. It’s in situations like this where the Autosave feature comes in handy. This way, you don’t have to worry about saving the game constantly. Plus, it also comes in handy when an unexpected crash occurs. However, there are certain players who prefer saving manually instead of relying on Autosave. So, take a look at the guide below and find out how to enable and disable this feature.
Cities Skylines 2 (II): How to enable/disable Autosave?
Unlike some other options in the game, the Autosave feature is turned off by default. So, if you don’t want to use it, you can leave it as it is. But if you do, just open the Options menu and then switch to the General tab. Under the Performance Preference setting, you will find the Autosave option. Checkmark or tick that setting, and Autosave will be turned on.
Additionally, you also get two more Autosave-related settings: Autosave intervals, and Autosave count. The former is for making autosaves after a designated amount of time has passed, and the latter is for how many autosaves you want. So, customize those as you see fit.
Do note that there have been reports of game crashes when CS2 autosaves. But at the same time, there are many who didn’t encounter any kind of crash. All in all, the autosave feature is somewhat unpredictable at this point. This is why, for now, you shouldn’t exclusively rely on it for saving your progress. Make good use of manual save and do it frequently enough so that you don’t lose your game progress from an unexpected game crash.
Well, now that you are aware of how to enable and disable Autosave in the Colossal Order’s Cities: Skylines II, why not try learning how to deal with the “not enough customers” issue in the game?
