COD Warzone Pacific Update: Best Optimization Settings

Before making any changes to your PC, make sure that your Windows is up to date. To Update windows to the latest version, type “Check for Updates” in the Windows Search bar and click it to see the available updates. After you have updated it to the latest version, follow these steps to boost the FPS of COD Warzone Pacific Update.

  1. Optimize Battle.Net Launcher: Open the Battle.Net Launcher > Click on the Battle.Net icon on the top left > Settings > App > On Game Launch > Exit Battle.net completely. On the same window, scroll down to find Advanced Features and uncheck “Use browser hardware acceleration”. Click on Restart
  2. Once Battle.Net relaunches, select COD Warzone and click on the Settings icon present beside the Play button. After that, select Game Settings. Here, check Additional command-line arguments, type “-d3d11” in the box that appears below it, and click on Done. Also, copy the install location of this game from the same Window.
  3. Disable Fullscreen and DPI Settings: Paste the install location that you copied in the file browser to open the game installation folder.
    1. Right-click on ModernWarfare.exe and select Properties
    2. Under the Compatibility tab, check Disable Full Screen Optimization and click on Change high DPI settings.
    3. Here, check to override High DPI scaling behavior, click on Ok, Apply, and Ok. Copy the game’s folder location for your convenience.

    2. Inside this folder, go-to players and open adv_options.ini with Notepad
    3. In the text, change the value of VideoMemoryScale to 1.2
  5. Run the game on a dedicated Graphics Card: Go to Graphics settings from Windows Search Bar > Browse > ModernWarfare.exe (from the location opened through Steam in the above step). Once it is added to the list, select Options, check high performance and click on save.
  6. Xbox Game Bar: Disable it by searching from the Windows Search Bar.
  7. Game Mode: Enable it by searching from the Windows Search Bar.
  8. Disk Cleanup and delete temporary files: Type “Disk Cleanup” in the Windows Search bar and run it as an administrator. A new window will open. Here, clean the disk on which your game is installed. Don’t Forget to delete all the temporary files from your computer. You can find the temporary files by running %temp%, temp, and prefetch in Run Window.
  9. Task Manager: Open the task manager by pressing “Ctrl + Shift + Escape” and end all the possible tasks that are running in the background. You can also prioritize the apps that automatically start up while your PC is booting.
