Oh, Kirishima! What a save, Kirishima solo flexing on Gigantomachia was the highlight of Chapter 280 of My Hero Academia. Mt. Chapter 280 Recap
What a great chapter it was! I loved some of these panels even more than the Shigaraki fight. Mt. Lady holding back Giga then him overpowering her later. Kirishima climbing on the unbreakable skin of Gigantomachia with his sheer will. It was a just very well-rounded chapter!
At the start of the chapter, Mina charges at Giga while covering her body with her Acid quirk. Her Acid quirk protects her from the fire lit up the League members. Mt. Lady is keeping Giga’s mouth open for her to administer the drug. Gigantomachia eventually sets himself free and Mina goes into a flashback of her first encounter vs Giga.
Giga is about to crush Mina when Red Riot/Kirishima with Tetsutetsu saves her. Just by sheer will power, Toga gives Mina’s tranquilizer after climbing up Giga in an amazing fashion! Other heroes help Toga and Pro heroes reach the scene.
Meanwhile, Shigaraki is kneeling before Endeavour who also looks very tired & seems to have used all his power. Endeavor tells Shiggy that he can’t win because he doesn’t have any ideals. Then Shigaraki gets angry and decides to show his conviction.

Here are some of our predictions for Chapter 281 of My Hero Academia:
- We believe that Gigantomachia has not defeated entirely and will continue to fight the Heroes. But with Pro Heroes arriving at the scene, things will turn in the favor of the Heroes.
- The next chapter will focus on the revival of Shigaraki though. Endeavor has angered the new All for One carrier and the heroes might end up paying the price for it.
- The Eraser-Endeavor combo is brutal though and even Shigaraki has been rendered defeated with it. But he clearly has something up his sleeve.
- The question is will Giga be able to save Shigaraki from Eraser’s quirk. Or will he able to break through by himself.
