Inti Creates, the studio behind Mega Man Zero and Mega Man ZX, also has another series that deserves more recognition. The Blaster Master Zero series happens to be the second reboot of Sunsoft’s Blaster Master and the first game in the series was released back in 2017. Over the years, it saw two more sequels, with the latest one being Blaster Master Zero 3 in 2021. And now, with the advent of a new year, fans of the series have been waiting to hear more about the release of Blaster Master Zero 4.
There are many sequels that remain undeveloped, either due to budget issues or something else. Making sequels can be a taxing task, as players have a lot of expectations for the next game if the first or previous game turns out well. The Blaster Master Zero series already has three games, and a fourth one is something fans are looking forward to since the previous three were quite good. So, when is BMZ 4 releasing? Blaster Master Zero 4 Release Date: When it will be available
As of now, Inti Creates has yet to release any kind of information or announcement regarding Blaster Master Zero 4. It’s certainly a bummer for the fans of the Blaster Master Zero series, but it is what it is. We even tried looking for any leaks on Blaster Master Zero 4, but there’s nothing that suggests that the game is in development.
Back in 2021, Dengeki Online did an interview with Blaster Master Zero series director Satoru Nishizawa, in which a lot of questions were asked about the series, including the possibility of Blaster Master Zero 4. Nishizawa didn’t right away mention any possibility of Blaster Master Zero 4 being in development, but he also didn’t shy away from commenting about BMZ 4 releasing in the future. Below is an excerpt of that interview and Nishizawa’s answer regarding Blaster Master Zero 4:
“ーーI think “Blaster Master Zero 3” ended very nicely, so this is a somewhat odd question, but do you have any plans for a …… new “4” or a new series?
I’m always thinking about the “next one, if there is one. …… (laughs)
(Laughs) The “side-view and top-view mixed exploration action” genre is almost unique, and I personally feel that there is still so much more to be done. I personally feel that we still have a long way to go. It’s a lot of work to make it, but I’m sure you can find out more at …….
However, there is a mature situation in which a company cannot move on to the next series unless it is certain that there is a demand for this series.
However, we can’t continue to promote the series forever, so from here on out, if there are people around you who have played and liked the series and are hungry for “something good,” please recommend the series to them, We would be very happy if you would share your impressions with others and expand the circle of our community.

As you can see, the possibility of BMZ 4 depends heavily on demand. Furthermore, BMZ 3 served as a nice end to the story of the Blaster Master Zero series, so for a new release, the makers would need to develop an entirely new narrative. For now, all fans can do is wait and hope Inti Creates decides to do something with the Blaster Master Zero series.
