Blacktail HDR Support: Is it available?
If you did not know, HDR stands for High Dynamic Range. It is used to describe the range of luminosity in an image or in a certain area. To put it simply, HDR helps you to see dark areas in the truest form. Old video games didn’t have this option and hence most of the dark areas looked rather dull or grey. Unfortunately, Blacktail also does not have HDR support. Well, some players did mention that HDR support is available in the game, but later one of the devs responded to this stating-
This is a bug, we will fully disable HDR in the next patch. I know this may not be ideal but we didn’t manage to make HDR look good enough to release it.
So, from this, we get the idea of why HDR is not natively supported in the game. Overall, Blacktail has amazing graphics. HDR would have improved the visual quality even further.
