One of those characters is Zevlor. And it seems like finding him is a pretty big part of completing the story.
The story of Baldur’s Gate 3 is as big as the world itself. Although it takes place after the events of the previous game, Baldur’s Gate II, the story this time is entirely new. Anyway, coming back to the topic, finding the character Zevlor can be a bit tricky if you don’t know your stuff, but with the help of this guide, you will have no trouble locating him.
Baldur’s Gate 3 (BG3) Zevlor: How to get & find
Finding Zevlor is difficult, but not impossible. And it’s not like you can avoid finding him since he’s kind of important to the story. However, during the events of Act 2, if the Tieflings fled Emerald Grove, you will eventually get to a point where the escapees in the Last Light Inn will let you know that Zevlor has gone missing due to an ambush by the Absolute cultists, and it is upon you to find him. The quest to find Zevlor starts at the Last Light Inn. The Tieflings will inform you that Zevlor and some others were, as previously mentioned, ambushed by Absolute cultists and that they have no idea what happened to Zevlor and the others. Following the end of your conversation, you will get two new objectives: Rescue the Tieflings and Find Zevlor.
Defeat Ketheric Thorm in Moonrise Tower
The game will imply that Zevlor is in Moonrise Tower, but many players may have been racking their brains searching for him there. However, what you need to do is move forward with the story until you come across Ketheric Thorm, the lord of Shadow-Cursed Land. Players will have to fight against Thorm on top of the Moonrise Tower, and at the end of the fight, Thorm will retreat inside the hole where you saw the giant Illithid tentacle go before.
It is inside this hole, or more specifically, Illithid’s lair, where you will find Zevlor. He will be imprisoned inside one of the many pods in the process of turning into a Mind Flayer. Now is your chance to stop this from happening and rescue Zevlor. Go to the terminal located next to the pods and interact with it to release the pods. Zevlor will be successfully released from the pod, but this also releases other Mind Flayers. Buckle up, ‘cause a combat encounter is about to start now.
Defeat the Mind Flayers and Intellect Devourers with the help of Zevlor and your party. Once you have killed them all, initiate a conversation with the recently rescued Zevlor, who will inform you what happened when he was captured.
