So, if you’re diving into the realm of Baldur’s Gate 3 and on the hunt for some seriously powerful gear, we’ve got a handy guide for you. We’re talking about the Blood of Lathander. If you didn’t already know, this weapon is quite powerful and can be a game-changer for your character. So, without any further ado, let’s jump right in!
Let us talk about The Blood of Lathander, a legendary mace in Baldur’s Gate 3. It is a divine force to be reckoned with. Inflicting bludgeoning damage, this holy weapon bears the radiant touch of Lathander’s Blessing, granting a revitalizing resurgence of 2–12 hit points upon hitting 0. But that’s not all—allies within 9 meters are bathed in the radiant light, healing 1-6 hit points as well. This mace also wields Lathander’s Light, illuminating a 6-meter radius with holy radiance. In the heat of battle, fiends and undead caught in its brilliance face blindness unless they pass a Constitution Saving Throw. Due to its capabilities, it makes sense why players are rooting for this weapon. That being said, let us see how to actually obtain it.
Baldur’s Gate 3 (BG3) The Blood of Lathander Weapon: How to get & find
So there is actually a quest called “Find the Blood of Lathander”, which is part of another main storyline related to Githyanki Creche. To start the quest related to the weapon that you are seeking, you will have to make your way to the Rosymorn Monastery in the Mountain Pass area. In this monastery, there is a statue of Lathander. You will need to find it and interact with the plaque at its base. Doing so will trigger the Find the Blood of Lathander questline. After this, you will need to find three ceremonial weapons to progress further.
Acquire Ceremonial Weapons
Now, as mentioned earlier, you will need to find three ceremonial weapons: a mace, a Warhammer, and a Battle Axe. So, where are they located? Here are the details:
- Mace: Finding this Ceremonial weapon is fairly easy. Just by searching through the monastery, in a pile of rubble by the archway in the corner, you will find the “Rusty Mace” on the ground. Well, you will need to use your exploration skills to get this item.
- Warhammer: Next, take a detour to the roof, and guess what you’ll find? A Ceremonial Warhammer. This one’s sitting pretty in front of an eagle. Now, getting this isn’t as easy as it seems. The eagle won’t just let you waltz off with its treasure. It’s guarding the item, and you might have to get a bit creative to claim it. Well, you have no other option as this is required to unlock the Blood of the Lathander, so it’s worth the effort.
- Battleaxe: For this, you need to get down from the roof and head towards the east wing of the Monastery, until you find a window tainted in red. Locate the Enchanted Door at coordinates X:95 and Y:47 and use your lock-picking skills to unlock it. Enter the room, but be cautious of the Guardian of Faith spell. Initiate the first attack, preferably ranged, upon entering the ring to defeat the Guardian and claim the Ceremonial Battleaxe.
More Puzzles to encounter
Last but not least, you now need to head over to the puzzle room. If you are confused about which room, well, it is the one with a huge dial-like-looking thing on the floor. Place the Ceremonial Warhammer to the left of the entrance, the Mace to the right of the entrance, and the Battleaxe directly in front of the entrance to solve the puzzle. This will reward you with the Dawnmaster’s Crest.
This crest will help you open up a gate in the Inquisitor’s Chamber area. There, you’ll spot two statues that need to be moved to progress further. Position the left statue to face west on the map. After you have done that, move the right statue to face east on the map. With it, a path will open up, revealing the Daybreak Gate. This is the gate that we were referring to earlier. Now, head inside it, and you have to solve another puzzle. Well, this time, your path is blocked by some energy barrier that you need to destroy. So, to destroy it, you must use your ranged attacks on the energy sources that are powering this barrier. Find and destroy them, and you will be able to progress further. After this, head into the next room, find an altar, and place the Dawnmaster’s Crest in the center. Doing so will give you access to the Blood of Lathander.
Note: There will be a series of puzzles to solve to get the Blood of Lathander weapon, so make sure that you choose a character with high dexterity.
Well, now you know the path to unlocking the Blood of Lathander in Baldur’s Gate 3. We hope this guide was helpful. Remember, for more helpful guides like this, keep visiting DigiStatement regularly.
