Atomic Heart is a graphically intensive game that is quite demanding. Likewise, it is a game that requires good hardware specifications to play optimally at stable framerates. Enable Game Mode and turn off game capture –

You can turn on Game Mode in Windows settings to improve performance in games. Likewise, you can find this option by searching for Game Mode in the Windows search bar. Then, you have to turn the toggle on for this option. There is also the option to capture video recordings of games in the Gaming settings. You have to turn this setting off to get better performance.

Enable Hardware Accelerated GPU scheduling –

You can find this setting by simply searching for graphics settings in the Windows search bar. Then, you have to turn on this option to improve FPS in games and also reduce input lag. Do note that you need an Nvidia graphics card that is beyond the 1000 series for this.

Update Graphics Drivers –

It is a good idea to always get the latest driver updates for both Nvidia and AMD graphics cards. Likewise, you can make some changes in the driver software configurations to improve performance. A recommendation is to turn on Super Resolution in AMD and NIS in Nvidia GPUs.

Enable Low Latency Mode in Nvidia Control –

Users of an Nvidia graphics card can also go to the Nvidia Control Panel in order to turn on Low Latency Mode under the 3D Settings. Likewise, you can also set the Max Frame Rate setting to a value that matches your monitor’s framerate.

Change Power Options –

You can also change the Power Options in the Windows Control Panel in order to improve overall performance. Likewise, it is a good idea to set the power options settings to High Performance.

Optimize In-game Settings –

You can also optimize in-game settings to improve performance in games. Likewise, you can find the optimizations that you can make below:

Under Display settings, set the following:
  • Brightness – 1
  • Image Sharpening – 1
  • Window Mode – Fullscreen
  • VSync – Off
  • FPS Cap – 60/144/240
  • Screen Resolution – (Native resolution of the monitor).
For Quality settings, set the following:-
  • Depth of Field – Off
  • Motion Blur – Off
  • Anti-Aliasing – High TSA
  • DLSS Super Resolution – Quality
  • DLSS Frame Generation – On
  • Nvidia Reflex – Off
  • Fidelity FX Super Resolution – Quality
  • Animation Quality – Medium
  • Shadows – Low
  • Ambient Occlusion – Medium
  • Visual FX – Medium
  • Number of Objects – High
  • Materials – Medium
  • Volumetric Fog – Off
  • Post-processing – Low
  • Textures – Ultra
  • Max 2D Model Quality – High
  • Vegetation – Medium
