Armored Core 6 (AC6) Fires of Rubicon: How to change Voice & Text Language?

After putting out the masterpiece that was Elden Ring, developer FromSoftware has released their latest title, Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon. For Armored Core fans, the wait for the next game was a long one, as the last entry in the series was in 2013. And after a decade, the wait has finally come to an end with the August 25 release of the latest mainline entry. And since Armored Core 6 happens to be such a fresh release, it’s imperative that players know how to change voice and text language in the game. If you are wondering the same, consider reading this guide to learn more.

Knowing these things is kind of a necessity since, unlike previous FromSoftware games like Elden Ring and Dark Souls 3, there’s a frequent and constant pace in the spoken dialogue in AC6. You aren’t going to simply travel from point A to point B and kill enemies without even saying a word. Take a look at the previous entries, and you will realize what we are saying. So, how do you change voice and text language in Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon? Let’s find out.

Audio/Voice Language

When it comes to audio or voice, Armored Core 6 has a total of two options for its players:

  • Japanese
  • English

Besides these two, the game also has another option called: Based on Region Setting. However, full audio at the moment is only limited to the aforementioned two languages. Which one you should choose is a choice that you will have to make for yourself. The Japanese audio option is great as always, but the English dub is nothing to scoff at this time around. FromSoftware has been upping their dubbing game since Dark Souls 3 and Elden Ring, and Armored Core 6 is no exception to that statement. In the end, no matter which audio option you choose, you will have a great time.

Text Language

Coming to the topic of text language, there’s certainly more variety on this front. Right now, the game has the following text-language options:

  • Italian
  • English
  • French
  • Spanish (Latin American)
  • Japanese
  • Korean
  • Simplified Chinese
  • Traditional Chinese
  • Polish
  • Russian
  • German
  • Spanish (Spain)
  • Portuguese (Brazil)

Do note that the text language option will be set by default based on your region settings. So, if you want to change to another language, you will need to do so through settings.

Change Language?

Now, when it comes to audio or text language, you will be presented with the option to choose the language of your choice when you boot up the game for the first time. However, if you want to change the in-game language after this initial preference, you can’t do it through the pause menu. Instead, you will have to go to the title screen first, and from there, choose the Language tab. Next, select the Voice or Text sub-option, and from there, select the language of your choice.

That said, we hope now you know how to change voice and text language in AC6. For more such interesting guides, make sure to follow DigiStatement. Also, read: Armored Core 6 (AC6) Fires Of Rubicon: How to change/switch Matchmaking Server
