Xiaomi finally rolls out stable Android 10 update for Redmi Note 7 Pro
A while ago, Xiaomi said that the Android 10 update for the Note 7 Pro was under development. This heads way back to around March. Xiaomi sold a huge number of Redmi Note 7 Pro units globally. All those users have been eagerly waiting for the Android 10 update for the device.
Earlier, Xiaomi also came up with the MIUI 12 roadmap for its devices. Redmi Note 7 Pro is one of the first few devices to bag the update in the early second phase rollout. Well, Xiaomi has been working on its updates and it seems there’s finally some long-awaited good news for the Note 7 Pro users. Xiaomi is finally rolling out the stable Android 10 update to the Redmi Note 7 Pro. Well, the update does bring Android 10 to the device along with all its awesome features. The update also brings home the May 2020 security patch along with other system optimizations.
The update comes with the firmware version V11.0.1.0.QFHCNXM and weighs around 2.08 GB on size. The OTA update is currently rolling out for the Chinese variants only. As of now, the update is not yet made available to all the units globally. One more thing to note is that the update comes with MIUI 11 on top rather than the latest MIUI 12. MIUI 12 for the Redmi Note 7 pro will start rolling out somewhere around July. Further, it seems that all the units will be getting the MIUI 12 update along with Android 10. This seems probable given that the global variants have not yet got the Android 10 update as of now. Hence, we might see all the units getting Android 10 with MIUI 12 simultaneously sometime around July.
