Halo Infinite Campaign not installing on Xbox App on Windows 10 & 11: Fixes & Workarounds

Halo Infinite is the only installment in the Halo video game franchise that offers a free-to-play multiplayer mode. This is a gift from the Xbox side towards all the people in their community on the occasion of the Xbox’s 20th Anniversary. However, the campaign mode of Halo Infinite is still paid. Halo has been a great video game series that has earned a lot of loyal fans who went for the campaign mode of this game also. But unfortunately, some of the players were facing an unusual issue where the Halo Infinite Campaign was not installing on the Xbox App on Windows 10 and Windows 11. Fixes: Halo Infinite Campaign not installing on Xbox App

Before heading towards the fixes, you must note that all the fixes mentioned below are some general fixes. So, there is a possibility that they might not be working for everyone. But they are worth a try for sure. After each and every step, try installing Halo Infinite Campaign to check whether the issue is resolved or not.

  1. Check Time Zone: Make sure that the date and time zone are set automatically by right-clicking on the date and time area of the taskbar.
  2. Make sure you are logged in with the same account on both the Microsoft Store and the Xbox App. If you are having any doubt about this, or still facing the issue, then log in again to the Microsoft Store and Xbox App.
  3. Run the wsreset command by typing it in the Windows Search Bar and waiting for the Microsoft Store to open. Once it is launched, install the Xbox App.
  4. Reset the Xbox App and Microsoft Store: Type “Apps” in the Windows Search Bar and hit enter to open the Apps and Features Settings. Now, find Microsoft Store in this list and head to its advanced options. Here, find and click on reset. Repeat the same process for Xbox App. If you are still unable to solve this issue, try again after updating Xbox App from Microsoft Store.
  5. Install Xbox Identity Provider and Gaming Services: Install Xbox Identity Provider by heading to this link. To install gaming services, first uninstall the remains of the same by typing this command in Windows Powershell: “get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers“. After typing this command, hit enter, and the remains will uninstall. After that, type this command in Powershell to install Gaming Services: “start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN“
  6. Start all these services: Type “Services” in the Windows Search Bar and hit enter. Now, search for each of the below-mentioned services in the list, double click on it, set the Startup Type to Automatic, and apply the settings:
    • IP Helper, Xbox Live Auth Manager, Xbox Live Game Save, Xbox Live Networking Service, Gaming services, Windows Update, and Microsoft install service
  7. Troubleshoot: In this step, we will be troubleshooting the Windows Store Apps. Search for Troubleshooting Settings in Windows Search bar > Additional Troubleshooters > Windows Store Apps > Run
  8. Run this command in Windows Powershell: Get-AppxPackage -AllUsers| Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml”}
  9. Uninstall & Re-install Xbox App
  10. Run Inetcpl.cpl command
  11. Update Microsoft Windows to the latest version using media creation tool.
