PlayStation 5 has not been termed as the best next-gen console just for fun. Several reasons make it the best and make it stand out from the other consoles. Be it the quality of the games on the console, the features it offers or anything, everything is top-notch in the console.
Did you know that you can upload your saved data on PS5 to cloud storage and download it as well? Well, here are the detailed steps using which you can upload your saved data on PS5 to Cloud storage –
- Go to the home screen and then go to the Settings section. Click on it.
- From the options available in the Settings menu, scroll down until you reach the Saved Data and Game/App Settings. Select that option.
- In there, you will get the option to choose whether it is a PS4 game or a PS5 game. Once you have done that, go to Console Storage.
- In console storage, you have options for cloud storage and sync data. Once you are there, it will say copy your saved data to cloud storage or delete it from this console. Go ahead and select it.
- Right in the top left, you will have the upload to cloud storage option. You can select the game individually or can go to select all and then upload everything. You will have over 100 gigabytes of storage available for cloud storage. Now, keep in mind that this is the case only when you are a PlayStation Plus member. If you are not a PlayStation Plus member, you will not get access to all of these.
- In the next step, you have to select the games you need to upload. After you have done that, go over to the upload button on the right side of the screen. Click on it.
- It will calculate the amount of time needed for saving. If you have auto-sync enabled, everything automatically gets synced to the cloud. So if you have it enabled, you will get a pop-up asking you if you want to “overwrite the saved data in the cloud storage”. Click on Yes and the data will get uploaded.
- Now, back out of this window and go to the cloud storage. You will see the data and the games you backed up in there.
- If at any point in time there is an issue with your PlayStation, or it gets stolen or you use a different PS5 console, you can simply log into your account, go over to the cloud storage and download the games saved in there.
- To do this, you just need to select the game and then click on the download on the right side of the screen.
- There will be another option with the name Auto Upload. You can keep it enabled to keep your uploads and downloads synced. So you no more have to upload them or download them. In PS5, you have to go to Sync Saved Data and enable Auto-Sync.
