Here we are going to talk about some amazing mods which can help a lot in boosting the FPS and the game of Minecraft, particularly version 1.17.1. A lot of players have this issue where they get some laggy gameplay and their game does not run smoothly.
One of the biggest disappointments while playing a game comes when your game does not feel smooth and lag-free. Similar is the case when you have low FPS. FPS or Frame Per Seconds matters a lot when it comes to having a great gaming experience.
When your game is stuck at low fps, you will have an input delay which will finally lead to the game going berserk. Yeah, it is true. In simple terms, high FPS and a lag-free game are two of the most important things if you want to have a game worth remembering.
Minecraft is a game that has had a long-running history of low fps and lag issues. That is why we have some mods for you which can help in solving these issues for you. This mod is called the Minecraft Forge.
Minecraft Forge is one of the best mods – if not the best – which helps in providing a great, lag-free experience. For that, you need to download the primary Forge application along with different mods with different specialities. You will get a lot of them, but we recommend the below four –
- Entity Culling – This mod makes the game skip rendering things that are behind you to reduce lag.
- Clumps – This mod groups all the XP orbs together into a single entity to reduce lag.
- Starlight – This mod completely rewrites the vanilla light engine, this boosting the fps (Vanilla is a shader pack in Minecraft).
- FerriteCore – This mod reduces the memory usage of Minecraft and boosts the fps in the game.
All four of these have different jobs to do. The best part is that you can use all the mods together at a time! Whenever you open the website to download these mods, remember to download the first file from the list. This is because the first file is the latest and the better updated one. Follow the below-given steps to install and use the mods in the game –
- After downloading, move the downloaded files to your monitor screen for easier access.
- Next, launch the Minecraft game and make sure you have the latest version 1.17.1. The mods will not work for any other version other than this one.
- Open the Run tab by pressing the Windows + R button together. In the search bar, input %appdata% and click on Ok.
- When you enter the PC AppData folder, go to the Roaming folder and then go to the .minecraft folder. Search for the Versions folder in there and go to 1.17.1.
- Next, click on the Forge primary application you downloaded earlier and install it. While installing, make sure that it is installed to the .minecraft folder only.
- After Forge is installed, open the Minecraft launcher. Just to the left of the Play button, select the Forge version instead of the regular 1.17.1 and launch the game. You must see the Forge version 37.0.75 in the extreme left bottom in the game interface. Quit the game.
- Repeat steps 3 and 4. But in the .minecraft folder, click on the mods folder this time. Paste all the four mod packs you downloaded from the desktop.
- Reopen the Minecraft launcher and start the game with the Forge version 37.0.75.
- In the game interface, click on mods. You will see all the four mods added to the list. You can check the speciality of each mod in that particular section.
- Start a new game by creating a new world and making the necessary changes you need. You can see that your game has a boosted 60 fps and has become lag-free too!
