The PlayStation 5 is one of the biggest console launches of recent memory. The console is in high demand and always out of stock from vendors. The PS5 is a major upgrade to the last-gen in terms of specs, raw power, graphics, performance, etc. The design of the console is also one of the biggest overhauls.
Free Games Coming to PS5
According to a report by Video Games Chronicle, many players using the PlayStation 5 console have been receiving emails from Sony informing them that Death Stranding: Directors Cut and Sackboy: A Big Adventure will be available for users to download as a free game trial during the month of October. Likewise, the report also states that any of the DLCs purchased during the trial are only going to be playable if the full game is purchased after the trial ends. This means that players who download the games are only able to play the games during the trial period for a limited time, after which they can choose to purchase the full game and continue progressing through the game.
Coming to the main topic of this article, activity tracking and time played are features and information that are important to most players. One of the features that were missing on the last-gen PlayStation 4 console was the ability to track a player’s activity on the console. The console had a feature to check achievements but not a feature to track the hours clocked on the console.
How to Check Time Played on the PS5
The feature to track activity and time played is now a dedicated feature in the PlayStation 5.
Here are the steps on how you can check your time played on PlayStation 5:
- The first and initial step is to simply click on the profile icon on your PlayStation 5
- Next up, click on ‘Games.’ tab on your console.
- Then, under each of the games, the details and information are available for the games.
- Finally, the times played & activities are available on each of the games.
This is an intuitive feature that was missing on the PlayStation 4. Therefore, it is another good reason to get an upgrade.
