Sports games probably boast one of the most loyal players bases in the world, and no matter how much of an awful game is released by the developers, their faithful fans will always go out and buy it year after year. I speak with much confidence since this is the exact love-hate relationship I share with EA Sports and their FIFA games. Either way, let’s take a look at all of the sports games that are slated for release in and around 2022. Right, let’s get into it.
Gran Tourismo 7
A racing game and a motorsports game all in one, EA’s Gran Tourismo 7 is scheduled for release sometime in 2022. Considering this is one of the most beloved racing game franchises, one can expect this game to be a massive success.
NBA 2K22
Ah yes, Take-Two Interactive’s yearly 2K franchise will obviously be making a comeback in 2022. No information is out about the cover athlete yet, and we hope that the MyCareer mode continues to be improved after the good work that was done on it in NBA 2K21.
FIFA 22
The notoriously famous FIFA franchise from EA will also definitely be getting a new mainline installation in 2022, and as an avid FIFA gamer, all I ask for is reduced toxicity in Ultime Team, and more focus that is not lazy on the other game modes, for once.
Blood Bowl 3
A slightly “out-there” sports game, where the species and races from the Warhammer universe play against each other in a brutal game of American Football.
Skate 4
The fourth mainline addition to Tony Hawk’s only competitor in the skateboard video game market makes its way to stores in 2022.
Football Coach the game 2022
A Polish developed football MMO. When you think of Poland and Football, the one name that comes to mind is Robert Lewandowski, and he actually owns the company that has developed this game.
